Based in Guildford, Surrey, Woodley Builders are specialists in home improvement. From kitchens and bathrooms to extensions and landscaping, we are a long standing trusted local business you can rely on to give you the results you desire.
We are different to most other building businesses as we guarantee you a trouble-free, clean and tidy job. The price we quote at the start of the job is the price you pay (unless problems are encountered along the way!) and we work around your needs and your life pressures to make sure disruption is kept to a minimum.
Woodley Builders is owned and run by Laurence Woodley. A life long Surrey resident, Laurence is continuing a family tradition in the building trade. A combined experience of over 60 years in the trade, we consider our working knowledge and craftsmanship second-to-none.
We can help with all aspects of building work including: home improvement, house maintenance and ’emergency work’ we all sometimes need!

Roofing and Guttering – Often overlooked but an integral part of your home, your roof is the main defence against the weather. We can fit everything from a new tile to an entire roof. We are experienced in all types of roofing including lead-work, tiling and flat roofs. All types of chimney work also undertaken.

We can help with all structural and cosmetic issues and supply you with a plumber or electrician!

I am very happy to recommend Laurence to you, although should point out that he did rather more than a “kitchen refit” for us.
He built an en suite bathroom into what is now our bedroom, involving removing walls and installing all plumbed units, cupboards, tiling etc. He returned to do the kitchen. He basically knocked two rooms into one, replacing a load-bearing wall with a large arch and blocking off a door. We kept most of the kitchen cupboards, but rearranged some to build in cooker and other items. He tiled the floor and walls and replaced worktops and sink.
I would endorse the quality of his work unreservedly. He is both thorough and conscientious, and provided valuable advice to us on several occasions. You would be welcome to come round to see the results of his work.
Laurence has done a few jobs for us over the years, from laying decking, through installing a new kitchen, and reconfiguring the downstairs of our house. He’s been a pleasure to work with, always kept to schedule and turned up when he said he would, and did excellent work. The most important thing is that when issues arise he deals with them well and always finds a good solution. He’ll continue to be my go-to builder for any work I need doing in future. The only thing that makes me question his building credentials is his lack of tea drinking, no matter how many times I offer.
